Growing up, I often found myself drawn to my mother's ancestral jewellery, pieces that had been lovingly passed down to her from my grandmother. Every now and then, I enjoy slipping into these pieces, and each time I do, I feel a unique sense of pride and connection. The narratives woven into each piece, along with their profound significance to my family, truly excites me.

I believe jewellery is one of the most cherished family heirlooms; in nearly every Indian household, there exists a piece that has journeyed through generations. This curiosity led me to explore the rich history of jewellery as an integral part of Indian attire. I discovered that a common thread among people in rural India is their fearless embrace of daily jewellery wear, unlike many of us who reserve our favourite pieces for special occasions due to their intricate designs or high value, often keeping them locked away. This realization inspired me to create something that embodies the same spirit- jewellery that is suitable for everyday wear yet reminiscent of the beautiful pieces our mothers and grandmothers adorned.

With Safron, my goal is to establish a platform where I can showcase my design explorations, celebrating the vibrant heritage, exquisite craftsmanship, and timeless beauty of Indian art, traditions, and culture, and connect with others who share my passion for jewellery and India.
